I'm not one to get all sappy about Valentine's Day. But Katie made Valentine's day so special for me. It was the most perfect night I could have imagined.
Katie and I got all dressed up in our fancy dresses. We started going out for dinner at the power house restaurant. We had a cute table for two with a view of the river. Katie was risky and got the duck and I played it safe and got the pasta. I was actually surprised that the duck wasnt too bad.
I got dessert to go because Katie had a surprise for me. She had reserved a hotel room downtown Iowa City. It was by far the nicest and most romantic hotel room I've ever stayed. There was a rose on the bed, rose pedals in the bath tub, champaign, and yummy desserts. The bath tub was fabulous and breakfast in bed was amazing!! Katie and I didnt exchanged christmas gifts because we had no money at the time so we decided to exchange gifts for valentine's day instead. We both got each other Ipods. I got her flowers and a DVD, too. But of course my big gift was the wonderful hotel room and all its goodies! She's amazing. ^_^

Nope, we didn't know. It just happened to work out that way. ^_^
